Preserving the sport's history, together
DBPass is a structured, community-powered record of dragon boat. Every passport entry is linked to a real event, competition, crew and result — so a medal is never just a line of text, and the same result is shared by every member of the crew that earned it.
How verification works
Records carry a clear status: self-reported, community supported, source matched, organization confirmed or federation confirmed. Confirmations from people who were actually there — teammates, coaches, race officials, organizers — carry more weight than general support. We never describe a record as “certified true”; we show how it is supported.
People vs. members
Historical participant records come from event data. They are not DBPass members and are kept minimal until the person claims them.
Independence
DBPass is an independent platform. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the IDBF, ICF, any continental federation, or any national body, unless an organization record explicitly shows a verified representative relationship.
